NOTICE
1 A continuous flow of water from the pilot
outlets shows that water is flowing
through the engine cooling water passag-
2 es. If water is not flowing out of the pilot
outlets during operation, do not continue
to run the engines. Overheating and seri-
ous damage could occur. (See “Over tem-

Cooling water pilot outlet check
Check that water comes out from the pilot
outlets while the engines are running in the
water. If water is not circulating, something
may be clogging the intake grates. Refer to
“Jet pump clean-out procedure” on page
190.
