TIP:
The lids for the port and starboard wet stor-
age compartments are each equipped with
an interlock to shut off the engines should the
lid be accidentally opened during operation.
The engines will not start if either the port or
starboard wet storage compartment lid is not
securely closed.

To raise the shift gates:
(1) Stop the engines and remove the clip
from the engine shut-off switch.
(2) Open the driver’s side console compart-
ment. (See page 75.)
(3) Remove the nuts, and then remove the
shift motor cover.
