                        Pre-operation checks

                        (1) Start the engines. (See page 107 for in-  “Jet pump clean-out procedure”  on page
                            formation on starting the engines.)  140.
                        (2) Pull the engine shut-off cord (lanyard) to
                            remove the clip from the engine shut-off
                            switch  to make sure that the engines
                            stop immediately.
                        (3) Make  sure that  the engines cannot be
                            started with the clip removed from the
                            engine shut-off switch.

                                                              It may take up to 20 seconds for water  to
                                                              reach  the pilot  outlets when first  launching
                                                  1           the boat. The amount and force of the exiting
                                                              water will vary with engine speed.

                                                              Fuel level check
                                                              Check the amount of fuel remaining in the
                                                              fuel tank using the fuel level bar graph on the
                                                              multi-function display.

                        Cooling water pilot outlet check
                        Check that water comes out from the pilot
                        outlets while the engines are running in the
                        water. If water is not circulating, something
                        may be clogging the intake grates. Refer to
